Conditions Affecting Music Teaching in New York City High Schools
Abstract
The problem involved in this work is to analyze the existing methods of teaching music in the high schools of the City of New York, with a view of determining (a)the effective- ness of existing methods of teaching music in the high schools in relation to the established objectives; (b) the conditions which affect the existing methods of teaching music in high schools; (c) conditions which might be improved, affecting the methods of music teaching in high schools; and (d) conclusions regarding the effectiveness of existing methods of teaching music under improved conditions.
