Grass Roots Social Workers: A Study of Marijuana Usage Among Graduate Students of Social Work
Abstract
The use of marijuana appears to have permeated all segments of American society during the past decade. One estimate of the number of individuals who have used marijuana at least once is from a low of 8 million to a high of 12 million. Although this increased usage has provoked extensive debate, very few empirical studies have been done on the effects of marijuana or on the characteristics of the marijuana user.
