A Preliminary Report on the Evaluation of the Three Year Program in the Fordham School of Social Services

Maria Cuadrado, Fordham University

Abstract

The Fordham University School of Social Service offers, in addition to the regular two year program, a three year (Phase) program leading to a Master's Degree in Social Work. The program was begun fifteen years ago and has to date involved thirty three agencies. Approximately two hundred students have obtained their degree through this program, and ninety five are currently enrolled in it. Through its fifteen years of existence many questions have been raised about the program. The school, therefore, in order to obtain a base for sound administrative decisions, has requested that an evaluation of the program be made. This is a report on the current status of that evaluation.
