Abstract
There exists a number of Cap and Trade programs surrounding carbon emissions. An overview of their components and rationale is given in the Introduction. Examining three programs at various scales through the lenses of performance metrics and design characteristics, the Analysis section seeks to represent and contextualize the three Emissions Trading Schemes (ETSs). Through this analysis, I am able to better understand how each policy came to be developed, how differences in design affect the performance and subsequent changes to the program, and how scale may play a role in the existence of these programs.
