Abstract
In recent years, there has been a corporate push toward social justice, both internally and externally. One of the most recent and relevant examples of this is in the corporate response to George Floyd’s death. Following his death on May 25th, 2020 and amidst international protests, companies globally spoke out about racial injustice. This research evaluates the impact of these statements on financial performance, in the form of stock price, seeking to make conclusions about correlations between the magnitude of the change in stock price and factors that may have affected it.
