SAGE is the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ older people. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in New York City, SAGE is a national organization that offers supportive services and consumer resources to LGBTQ+ older people and their caregivers. SAGE Center Bronx is located at 1784 Prospect Ave, and hosts a lively community of elders from the Bronx and beyond for meals, cultural events, and services. As part of a community engaged learning project, Fordham undergraduate students engaged in hour-long oral history interviews with community members from SAGE Center Bronx. The oral history archive is accompanied by documentation of a student web project showcasing stories and photographs from the SAGE elders.
