Abstract
Abstract by by Kendall Radford and Tara Salem Nicole Encarnacion shares her life story, starting from her childhood in New York, raised by a single mother who worked three jobs to send her to a prestigious boarding school in New Jersey. After graduating highschool, she worked her way up, eventually becoming a successful entrepreneur in the garment industry, opening three stores in New York. After her mother was diagnosed with dementia, she transitioned to corporate promotional work, including pharmaceutical marketing. She later invested in a nightclub, catering to the LGBTQ+ community. SAGE's support during her mother's dementia led her to volunteer and advocate for the organization. She emphasized the importance of valuing oneself, living life to the fullest, and being loyal to all your friends and family.
